McDSP v5 Release Now Shipping

The McDSP v5 release includes Audio Unit (AU) support, the new 6030 Ultimate Compressor plug-in, Classic Pack v5 and Emerald Pack v5. In addition to Pro Tools, McDSP v5 plug-ins now support Logic, Garage Band, Digital Performer, Ableton Live and other AU compatible DAWs. Please note the McDSP v5 release is a paid upgrade.

The McDSP v5 release will initially support Intel-Mac systems only running Mac OS 10.5.x (Leopard) and 10.6.x (Snow Leopard). A PowerPC version will be available in late December 2010, followed by a Windows version in Q1 of 2011. The PowerPC version will not support the Audio Unit (AU) plug-in format - it will be a Pro Tools only version.

Classic Pack v5

The Classic Pack v5 bundle is the next generation of McDSP Classic Pack plug-ins. These 'Next Gen' versions of Analog Channel, CompressorBank, FilterBank, and MC2000 are completely new plug-ins, and include Audio Unit (AU) support, new streamlined interfaces, control range improvements and even a few algorithm tweaks.

A set of Legacy Classic Pack plug-ins are also included to support existing sessions using current Classic Pack plug-ins. Both Next Gen and Legacy versions of Classic Pack plug-ins are available in the new Classic Pack v5 bundle, and can coexist in sessions. Note Legacy Classic Pack plug-ins are not available in the Audio Unit (AU) format.
